Since 1960, Zia Therapy Center has been providing services that enhance the quality of life for those living in Otero County. We provide services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities that support their full participation in this great community. We provide early intervention services that support infants and toddlers who are experiencing developmental delays or disabilities and their families, to help these little ones reach milestones and goals to have the best developmental outcomes possible. We provide an inclusive, full-time, preschool based child care and development program for all children from infants to five years of age that supports the child's happy, active development. We provide public transportation (Ztrans) that offers several fixed route options to take riders as far as Mescalero and the Inn of the Mountain Gods in one direction and Las Cruces and the Multimodal Center in the other. This service allows our friends and neighbors to access work, shopping, family, health care services, and colleges along the way for a one-way fee of $1. These services all work together to enhance the quality of life for those of us lucky enough to live in Otero County, New Mexico.
From the beginning, Zia has relied on contributions from community businesses, organizations and individuals who share the dream of our founding families so long ago.
